Thanks to video games, I've talked and played with Americans, Japanese, Indians, Russians, Bulgarians, Macedonians, Egyptians, Iranians, Brazilians, Guineans, Saudis, Thais, Chinese, and who knows what more. They were men and women (the majority of them men, but, to be honest, nobody cared enough to bother asking) and I'm pretty sure there were people from all political persuasions there. I can't know for sure because nobody asked about them, of course.

Games (from sports to video games) are one of the few human activities where people who, in any other situation wouldn't want to be in the same room, can get together and develop a good rapport. Apparently, however, and according to our cultural managers, video games are problematic and yet another reason that explains social enmity, exploitation, and oppression. And that's exactly what every player wants to hear, that by playing he might be hurting the guy or gal on the other side of the table.
